2 brothers make these wines in the basement of their restaurant at the top of their restored 100+yr old vineyard in Lessona. 70% Nebbiolo, Vespolina & Croatina. Nebbiolo with a roundness from the vespolina and a distinct white pepper spicy. 18 day maceration, great color, 21 months neutral oak, pure red fruit, roses. Way better 8 hours later

Acceptable Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo Vespolina mix. Excellent nose like a great Nebbiolo, but palette is so mild it’s almost tasteless. No off notes, but dull.
