Purple in color with a purplish/reddish rim.
On the nose, plums, cherries, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, wood, earth, wet leaves, green vegetables, chocolates, coffee, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, wood, licorice, spices, alcohol, dark chocolates, herbs, vegetables, earth, vinegar and peppercorn.
Medium finish with fine grained tannins and black pepper.
This Spanish Garnacha is drinking nicely now with a soft and velvety mouthfeel and mild complexity. Not fully balanced, but enjoyable by itself or with food.
Needs 90 minutes to open up properly.
I paired it with Parmesan cheese and crackers.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Dark and inky appearance. Pleasant fruit forward nose with lots of berry. A little flabby on the palate with too much heat on the short finish.
