Decanted 4 hours. Nose shows incredibly deep, extracted dark cherry fruit, both dried and fresh, and exotic, low-toned spice note, new leather, and hot gravel. The palate is enveloping with deep fruit and crushed rock. There’s significant tannin hidden within the fruit. Acids are neither low nor high. Long, pure finish. Very classy stuff. Will age nicely several more years.

Very complex nose. Intense red berries, cedar, warm terra cotta tiles, incense, crushed stone. Intense flavors tenaciously cling to all parts of the mouth. Intense terroir: so much gravel and savory minerality. Great length. Nice freshness for a ‘12. Tannins still there but soft-textured and starting to resolve. Superb.

Awesome nose. Deep cherry, cherry flower. Loads of spice after air. Complex. Very elegant. Mint. Menthol. Gorgeous fruit. Dense cherries. Concentrated. Terrific freshness. Minerals. So energetic. Velvety tannins. Creamy. Just a terrific wine. So pure and elegant. Awesome mouthfeel and big structure. This will age wonderfully.

I love this wine. So fragrant, with crushed minerally gravel and ripe but tart cherry, and resiny spice. A bit broader and more savory in the mouth than the nose would suggest, but still in total equilibrium. Full, but with enough acidity to enliven it. Perfect accompaniment to Peposo (look it up).

Restrained nose of sour cherry, spice and mineral. Some fresh rain. Floral as well. Very fragrant. Palate is super fresh with lovely purity and density. Lovely mouth coating tannins that are finely threaded and super present but never intrusive. Very elegant and fine. Like in a Margaux style.

Family party, so truncated notes. A lively, fresher take on Brunello, but not at all skimping on richness and length. Love this.

Utterly classic Brunello. You’ll have to get dark Cabernello from other places. Not me. I only work with 3 Brunello and each one is more classic than the next. Anyway. Gorgeous and precise nose. Ver y lifted and pure. Amazing essence of ripe cherries. Killer. Like a perfume. Palate is like a laser. So focused with gorgeous puffy cloud-like tannins and lovely sweet and deep cherry fruit. Long finish with some unresolved tannin that will integrate with age.

Doubtlessly, this one carries great fruit, but that's still hidden beneath a wall of toasty oak, and I don't think it'll ever recover from its elevage. It feels very much "made" in the cellar. Good wine, but boring.
