La Lecciaia
Brunello di Montalcino
Vanilla & prune on the nose with lighter spice notes. Spiciness on the front end with some tobacco and darker fruit flavor on the back. We've had similar wines at a lower price point. Has some old vines characteristics without being overwhelming.

Feb 19th, 2021Overloaded cigars, mocha, dark chocolate, prune, and tobacco. Potting soil and the scent of my grandfather’s suit collection.
The bouquet alone is complex, rich, and dense.
The bittersweet notes of dark chocolate come through amazingly. Smokey without lingering. Chocolate covered strawberries. Reminiscent of its Italian brothers and sisters, Barolo, Nebbiolo, Montepulciano, Chianti, while also having its own charm.
In the end, the bouquet was more complex than the tasting notes. Left me wanting more.

Another solid vintage of this wine. Prune, mocha and baking spices on the nose. Plums, raspberries and tobacco flavors. Good structure and an affordable Brunello option.
