On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Bing cherry, red flowers, black tea, dried green herbs and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A lovely, quaffable RdM that scratches the itch I want with aplomb. Drink now through 2037.

Closer to a Brunello than the typical Rosso in character. Nose has intense cherry extract, loads of savory minerality, and a whiff of leather. Full bodied, it’s got big macerated cherry fruit with warm sandstone-laced gravel notes. Tannins are very soft. Not a quaffer but more serious.
