Leather, figs, pineapple and peppercorn on the nose with (maybe because it's the Italian I was eating) a lingering scent of roasted tomatoes. Soft on the palate - good fruit but unobtrusive to food flavour. Perfect paring with pasta (sans red meat) and seafood. Delicious!
