A solid French red - gotta have my occasional glass from the old world and the 1st name in Red wine. Not as big, bold and intimidating as some Médoc wines can be - this is easier to enjoy for the French red novices. Pairs well with a light blue cheese and red meat.

Perhaps it is the 2013 vintage, but this Haut Medoc is disappointing. Light on body and lacking in complexity. However a very good price point. A good every day simple dinner wine (at home without company).
