Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Pretty decent. Would pair nice with BBQ or just by itself. Took a long trip out of town this weekend so it’s nice to sit and relax with this one out by the pool.

Red fruit blend and much more subtle than expected. Touch of acidity and tannins and quite smooth. Softened even more after breathing and on day 2. Definitely intrigued to try other Montepulciano D’Abruzzos!

This one took a little time to open up. Initial thoughts were that this wine lacked some character. But as it was swirled and sat in the glass, got a lot more well rounded. Some black cherry and a hint of a floral character. Not overly tannic. Lingered a bit but then finished with a cherry/berry fruit finish. Was a WSJ wine. Had the 2022 in December of 2025.

Delicious. Deep flavor.

Great balance of earthy, jammy, and smooth

Had the 2020 Riserva in December of 2024. Enjoyable wine. Some leather and spice with some dark, jammy fruits. Subtle tannins with a bigger body. Would definitely buy again.

Good flavor.

This was a prize for knowing the least about our friends’ kids out of anyone else in the room 😂😅 Cherries, dark chooclate, malted milk, nice! 🍷

Tastes like a tart Chianti. Some floral notes, but a little bitter and excessively dry.
