Umbria baby. This region needs far more attention. It’s not just sagrantino. This wine is simply wow, for the North American palate. Such a shame they’re all wasting time with Lodi cabs.

Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot - initial waft of sweet perfume, full body of blackberries and some cherries, interesting mustiness/earthiness, then a medium , clean finish. Solid $22 CAD Italian red.
