Close to what classic Vino Nobile di Montepulciano used to be like before it became over-priced in the early to mid-2000's. Balanced without being too-smooth; retains a nice acidic "bite"; tart cherry, a touch of cranberry. A real value wine at what I'd paid ($14) in Arizona.

2008 Vintage. Initial cork on nose! Still waiting for it to blow off! I wonder how many chefs blue bandages the winemaker chucked in the barrel?

Definite dark cherry. My bottle was well balanced. Not too acidic or tannin forward. Would love to drink this again. I always do well with Montepulciano.
