Fascinating argument for the existence of bottle variation. This does not rise to the level of the other 2010 McDougalls we've had in the past several months. Leaner and a bit less impressive. Still tasty, but...

Always outstanding, one of my favorite CA Pinot Noirs. And a great guy too. 2010.

Mellow as can be. 13.85 ALC. Light pepper and berries, a touch of tobacco. Layers for sure, but does not overwhelm you.

Just a wonderful laid back wine. Amazing what he can do with other people's grapes.

Black raspberry, good tannic backbone. Not "soft", robust flavor profile. Nice lingering fruit-laden finish. Enjoyable.

Beautiful lifted aromatics that draw you in. Strawberry, crushed cherry, black tea, tobacco with a firm tannin that developed. Not the ultra-high review of the same vintage from 2 years ago but still one of the top Cali Pinot producers to latch on to.

Jamie nailed this one. Great structure and concentration. Only an hour on and just so pretty. Elegant but the body has some depth. Great acid, savory finish. Textbook A to Z... And then something else. Can't wait to see where my last two or three go in the coming years. Excellent wine!

I've had lots of Kutch, and this might be the best bottle yet. Depth, complexity, and elegance. Soft fruit and savory earth tones on the nose. Silky in the mouth with a beautiful finish. A top-notch example of restraint and balance. Well done.

This wine is a beauty, with complex fruit and savory aromas and flavors. Sadly, and maybe it was just this bottle, but there was no real finish to speak of. Things came in beautifully but disappeared before the party was over. Glad I've got a few more bottles. It's too good not to be able to go the distance. Yeah, I'm an optimist.

Pale to medium intensity, rose to garnet with a wide watery rim. Earthy midst notes with cola and red berry aromas. Medium-plus body. Strawberry dominates flavors. Well integrated but noticeable acid. Mild tannins. This is an excellent and well made wine that can age for several more years.
