Kupelwieser
Fritz Alto Adige Riesling
Bright straw gold. Baked quince with hints of white pepper and white flowers on the inviting nose and medium palate. Firm, almost flinty acidity and a lingering finish. My current house white. Excellent with pretty much any "white wine" fare. And only ten bucks! Drink now.

Dec 21st, 2022Straw gold. Abundant nose of yellow apple and lime rind with a note of mineral that asserts more fully on the medium bodied palate. Firm acidity. An excellent Südtirol Riesling in the Austrian style. Great with seafood and non-spicy Asian. Or anything else. And what a value for a top notch dry Riesling. Drink now through 2026. (Note: *neither* the Fritz cuvée nor a “Moriconi Selection”).

Oct 27th, 2022Pale lemon
Nose: light citrus. Earth, wet grass, and granite
Palate: medium acid, mandarin orange, citrus rind, apricot
Crisp and dry. Finish lingers with dried stone fruit.
Would not guess this is a riesling. Very different from Germany and Alsace.
