Well, well! Dried white flowers, nuttiness, and steel nose. The flowers carry through to the palate with spiced green apple and pear. Excellent acidity. Pretty cool juice!

Continuing my journey through TX wines...@Mark Flesher and I compared some ‘16 TX viogniers, and it was a treat to see the differences.

This was a small divergent from our Viognier Wines, and what a surprise! Can’t believe this is a TX roussanne. Upon opening, skunky! Very funky on the nose. The palate was very honeyed-walnut driven, with a mango type note? The acidity here brings about lemon cream that is whipped alongside cashews. Very unique and complex.
@Mark Flesher can probably describe this wine better in comparison to other/current vintages. Kuhlman whites alone are worth signing up for their wines direct.

New release from Kuhlman, needs a little more time in the bottle.

Wow! This was fantastic. Great nose of honey comb and nuttiness. Floral and tea like aroma. Complex, fruity, with balanced acids. Is Roussanne Texas future?

Really impressed by this wine. Hard to believe they are growing Roussanne in North Texas. 100% Texas fruit, 100% Roussanne. Well built wine same taste profile as my last notes back in Nov. wonderful-love the glycerin mouthfeel that it presents.

100% Texas fruit makes this White Rhone varietal. Green almond and toasty notes on the nose. Citrus peel, tart peach and honeydew tantalize the palate. Slightly high acidity that complement the wine. Spice apple finish.

If you haven’t tried Texas wine but do have very high standards, you must check out Kuhlman Cellars! Award winning Roussane is bright, crisp, with lingering smoothness that will delight your palette. The best combination of French and California right here, but from TX!!

Very good wine. Needs a bit more time, but really linking what Kuhlman puts out.

Perhaps a bit more reductive than previous Roussanne wines. This one has a lot of youthful acidity from start to finish. Lemon tart and lemongrass on the front with a little bit of wet limestone grit. The middle has more of a rounded characteristic. Guava and mango. A bit tropical. Finishes with a youthful zip. Lotsa years ahead of this one and seems to have the structure of the 2012 that is still showing incredible complexity.

My last one of these. This has been a delight of a wine. Still with very good acidity and wonderful balance from start to finish. Little bit of lemon tart right up front, then gains a softness to it with Asian pear and grapefruit. Finishes with some herbal qualities to it. Hint of limestone grit. The first of probably many before the Clemson dismantling.
