Pretty good and drinkable, some smoky and meaty notes up front, a little bit of dark cherry, but not a fruit bomb or jammy. Light bodied and thin on mouthfeel, no strong tannins. First Texas wine I’ve had, and beat my not so high expectations.

Not their best wine by far although I think the biggest problem is that this one was just released about a year too early. Combo of 44 Cinsault, 44 Aglianico, and 12 Tempranillo. This one is definitely drinking with more depth and complexity with a nose of dirty black cherry, hint of tobacco, hint of dark chocolate. Entry is more of an under ripe black cherry and graphite. A very grape stemmy sort of character to it that sticks to the under ripe black cherry note. Not an ager, but I really wish I would have started drinking on these now as opposed to one year ago which was closer to original release.

Gypsum, a cuvee of 44 percent Cincaut, 44 percent Aglianico, and 12 percent tempranillo....and 100 percent enjoyable with chicken soup on a colder evening. Wildflower and red berry nose with a hint of tobacco, bell pepper, and youthful raspberry front with herbal middle and acidic drunken earthy red berry finish. One of the few Texas producers who knows how to make solid wines from TX grapes.
