Can’t recall how many bottles of the ‘16 I consumed last summer, and this is my first taste of the ‘17. Notes are fairly consistent...I get a bit more peach and nectarine on the nose here. Very lemon tart focused in the middle. Tart, acidic punch at the end full of chalky limestone.

I can’t stress enough how absurd the QPR is here (in a good way). This SB is $20 and is a straight knockout. 100% TX fruit. Whites and rosés are killing it in TX.

Steely on the nose, hint of wet stone. Oily texture with white flowers and chalk running the palate. Salted butter and white pepper build the finish.

Planned a weekend getaway to the Texas Hill Country for my wife after completing/surviving another year of teaching 5 year olds in kindergarten. Love Fredericksburg and so pleasantly surprised that TX are most definitely increasing in quality. Stunned at some of our finds so far! Posting our favorite bottle from each winery.

TX makes Sauv Blanc that taste like this?! Holy smokes. This would blow some Napa Valley SBs out of the water. A lot of TX SB for me are wimpy in aromatics and taste. Not so with this one. Lovely crisp apple, brioche, tropical nose and finish. And for $21?! 😱 Yes please!
@Shawn R @Mark Flesher ...happy to report back to you guys that y'all are indeed correct...this stuff is legit!

Good SB at a rather solid price that almost makes you feel like you're stealing it from the vineyard. The nose of this wine is lemongrass, some herb, hint of wet rock. Enters with sharp acidity, lemon rind, kiwi, limestone influence, a little bit of tropical character. Really nice hot weather poolside sipper. Considering our heat index is still near 100, these couple of bottles will serve a very nice purpose. This would go well with lemon sherbet. This is sort of a new offering for Kuhlman and so far this particular release has remained very solid.

I was surprised. Excellent example of Sauvignon Blanc. Lots of tarragon/thyme in the nose - sorry but reminiscent of garlic cheese bread. Flavors of gooseberry, medium finish.

SB gold, sub 20 bucks. QPR is phenomenal. REAALLY easy to drink. Gone rather soon. Wishing I had ordered much more of this.

At the price, this is probably one of the best QPR buys in SB. Pours a light straw into the glass. Nose of lemon and peach. The entry of this wine is mostly lemon rind, and some pineapple. Finishes with a hint of limestone on the palate, strong lemon notes, some tart, makes your mouth pucker. Good grip to this wine. Will be a great summer drinker, if I can make any of my remaining bottles last that long. Sadly, none of them will make it I'm almost certain.
