Oct 5th, 2024From mag. Gold in color. An enchanting soft nose with Merle lemon, orchard fruit, a delicate stoniness. Really beautiful and poised. Still fresh but the secondary and retreat notes are spectacular. Balanced, refined and long. Just getting better and better in the glass.

May 23rd, 2024Great stuff. Toasty and rich. Brioche and almonds with a dense golden color. The zip and vigor of late disgorgement gives this a freshness but with great complexity and lots of secondary stuff. Wonderful

The 1988 Collection is at that magical place where Champagne starts to become more vinous and wine-like. Apricot, chamomile, graphite, mint and lightly honeyed notes gradually open with a bit of time in the glass.
