Light gold in color. Soft apricot and subtle delicate but intense fruit. Slight sweetness with some brioche and a low hum of salinity. Absolutely delicious and refined

From mag. Gold in color. An enchanting soft nose with Merle lemon, orchard fruit, a delicate stoniness. Really beautiful and poised. Still fresh but the secondary and retreat notes are spectacular. Balanced, refined and long. Just getting better and better in the glass.

Great stuff. Toasty and rich. Brioche and almonds with a dense golden color. The zip and vigor of late disgorgement gives this a freshness but with great complexity and lots of secondary stuff. Wonderful

Brioche and toasted hazelnuts on the nose. Beautiful poise… bright lemon and tingling acidity with real depth of flavor and length. Delicious

More acid than I remember. Still in balance in all. Great way to bring in the New Year.

The 1988 Collection is at that magical place where Champagne starts to become more vinous and wine-like. Apricot, chamomile, graphite, mint and lightly honeyed notes gradually open with a bit of time in the glass. Gracious and understated, with silky contours and exceptional finesse, the 1988 is a total knock-out. Krug ID: 417035. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2021)
