Incredible. K foil bottled between 1995 and 2004. Best Krug rose I’ve ever had. Still fresh and incredibly complex, with no signs of tiring.

Actually the 21st Edition of the Brut Rose. Colour of Rose Gold like a high quality watch - copper, brass notes in the decadent colour. Aromatics of red currant, pink grapefruit and a hint of honey. An ultra fine mousse always found in prestige Champagne. The palate is all about Intensity showing the red fruits, spice and general influence of high quality Pinot Fruit. Much of this edition is based on the excellent 2008 vintage. A memorable Rose Champagne as expected - matched with Danish mussels Georgie brought from Copenhagen for my 71st Birthday - happy days.

Apr 5th, 2018Not sure there are many better staters for a 50th birthday party then with Krug Rosé. Thank you Jeremy who is the Somm at Dio Deka for bringing. Thank you Hedy for her carrot ice cream pops (quite unique) and Jenny’s squash small bites featured in the photos. Happy 50th Christina! Great evening of; friends, food & wine.

NYE =‘s Krug Rosé. I can’t say I completely agree with what the Krug fireplace mantel suggests, but it’s certainly very delicately delicious and will put a guaranteed smile on your face! The mouthfeel is entirely feminine. The micro bubbles are unmistakable Krug and made with great precision. Fruits of; black raspberries, black cherry, cherries, watermelon mid way to the rhine, strawberries & understated citrus notes with pink grapefruit dominating the blend. The fruits are so restrained but are perfectly styled on the leaner side yet so ripe, juicy and delicious. There’s brioche but it comes fresh from the best of Parisian bakeries. Sea spray, minerality that is so soft & delicate, it’s hard to call it minerality. Krug Rosé reveals the very best, smooth, silky, velvety chalkiness that can be found on this planet. Pink roses/florals for days. Perfect acidity and a glorious, long, rich, beautiful finish that doesn’t end. If you enjoy wines that show pure elegance, perfect finesse and haven’t had Krug Rosé, treat yourself to a bottle or a split. The split may leave you wanting more. However, I can’t think of a better wine/way to celebrate the current year and bring in the next. Happy New Year all! May 2018 be peaceful, successful and spent with your family, best friends, prodigious wines and excellent food pairings!

The palate is soft, ripe, lush & delicate with micro bubbles. Fruits of perfectly ripe; black cherries, ripe strawberries, black raspberries watermelon and notes of citrus. Sea spray, powdery soft chalkiness & minerals that softly cut across the palate like a razor, red & pink fresh roses & baguette crust, perfect acidity and an amazing long finish. Beautiful stuff! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁❄️⛄️🥗
