Glad I got to this before it went any further. I always enjoy these old Clare wines, but that goodness they had the good sense to move to screw cap long ago. Last attempt at this'98 went down the sink. This cork pretty much vaporised on contact with corkscrew, but it had done a good enough job of protecting the wine. Toast and lime cheesecakey notes, and enough life to hum citrusly across the palate.
