Dark ruby color with intriguing dark fruit, roast coffee, spice, and a bit of eucalyptus aromas. On the palate its medium-bodied with surprising acidity, and dusty tannins. It shows baked blackberry, black raspberry, roast coffee, vanilla and spice flavors. Lingering sweet finish.

Bit of an alcoholic fruit bomb. Very extracted and oaky, lots of fruit, but adequate acidity to hold things together. Better w food, just not my cup of tea.

Smooth and well balanced, mild tannins. Strong peppery nose w/ a balance of spice.

Very dark purple, very dark fruits. Dried spices, black pepper, ripe plum, dried figs. Little sweet upfront on the palate, light to medium tannins on the finish. Jam bomb.

Dark color. Smells luscious. Baked blueberry scones, pencils and horses. Flavors also luscious. Berries of the dark skinned variety. Blue, black and black currant, huckle. Hints of smoke and some currant, raisin, galvanized stuff. It’s tasty though. A classic Zin from Lodi. Chewy, jammy, and juicy bombastic raisin, metal winner.
