Clear straw color, aromas of Granny Smith apples, lime zest and cut grass. Excellent! Tart apple flavors with a great subtle minerals to follow- very nice!

@KlinkerBrick 2016 Albariño (SRP $16): I had the pleasure of visiting this winery a few years ago. I’m more familiar with their Syrah and Zinfandel wines – all rich, ripe, and delicious, and perfect matches for grilled meats. The lighter & brighter side of Lodi includes Albariño, and this is a really nice example. Summer in the glass: this wine is full of bright white pitted and orchard fruits, framed by a stony minerality. Enjoyable on its own, there’s a lively, fresh acid crunch that makes this wine a solid food-friendly option.
