Last of the Sauvignon Blancs at Klein Constantia.
Light greenish yellow. Very fresh on the nose with white floral notes, a little nutty, lovely white and stone fruits as well as some gooseberries. Heavy acidity (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with citrus notes as well as some other lighter fruits and balanced throughout. Long finish. Drink till 2023.
Aged in neutral oak for 9 months.

Green and grassy, and quite Sauvignon Blanc, but there's a weight from the lees ageing and a stony texture that stands the wine out.

Wonderful - had many KC Sav Blancs every year since 1995 and including a few back years but never this Perdeblokke - lovely crisp expression with some green grassy undertones and slight green apple - enjoyed this one :)
