This a blend of 52 Shiraz, 37% Cabernet and 11% Petit Verdot.

Some musty notes. Blackberries, dark cherries, strawberries, blue fruits, pepper, black licorice, vanilla, caramel, dark spice, dark fruit liqueur notes, dry leather, underbrush and withering to dry dark florals. Gets better as you sip it but, not really my thing. Perhaps, that changes with enough bottle age.

Tasted at Klein Constantia.
Color: Ruby red.
Nose/Smell: Red cherries, cheese, and bell peppers.
Palate/Taste: Very sharp and rough. Some green notes in the palate. Needs allot of time to integrate if it will.
Finish: Sharp furry moderate finish.
Opinion: This is supposed to be 68% Shiraz, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 12% Petit Verdot. We cannot see the affects of any oak. But this supposedly has 12 months in second oak. Is only R105 at the estate. Which is around $7.00. So at the price point I guess you can't expect much.

I really love this wine, and bought several bottles after a SA wine tasting. Unfortunately I didn’t keep good notes, but I remember it being easy drinking and a good pairing with food or alone.

A good blend. Nice nose, and good tannins. Could be slightly more full bodied, but still very good.

Opaque ruby and magenta; smells fruity with hint of spices; rich flavours of dark fruit; dry and savoury finish
