The 2008 find Hill Chardonnay is deep golden yellow in color. The aromas are still very fresh with some mineral notes with citrus lemon pie lemon meringue pie and just a hint of golden spices such as turmeric and saffron. On the pilot the flavors are more of ripe yellow hair and white peach with a good core of acidity and a strong phenolic structure. The wine has a long lingering finish with just a hint of vanilla.

Out of the chardonnays, this one was the one that was probably the least intricate. To me this one seemed to be a little out of balance. Very acidic. I was getting a little bit of Asian pear as well but I think this one was starting to lose its fruit.
