On the nose cherry, earth, coffee bean, and some floral notes. Flavors of red cherry, soil, and some herbaceousness. Finishes with smooth red fruit and medium plus tannins. A nice super Tuscan. No description of the varietals on the bottle. I would guess sangiovese, merlot, and a bit of cab (sauv vs franc?).

Clear, pale ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of plums, blackberries, and wood smoke; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, medium body, and medium intensity flavors of cherries, red currants, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie didn't like it.
