Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Not from burgundy! While it has some intense, dark, concentrated fruit, that isn’t my favorite style of Pinot noir. The plasticy finish didn’t help.

Pale to medium ruby in color; dried herbs, cherries, and pomegranates on the nose; high acidity, medium tannins; tastes like cloves, raspberries, hibiscus, and a hint of crushed gravel with a long finish. Really good if you don't mind the tart raspberry flavor. 90 points

Some nice tasting notes and aroma, but has a harsh finish. Not nearly as impressive as the Kirkland Caneros PN from several months back. Glad I only bought 2 bottles.

Great, fruit forward Pinot at friendly price. Rich bold fruit tinged with deep forest tones.

Punches significantly over its $12. Lots of cherry and dark berries. More vanilla than desired. Moderate complexity.

Made very much in a cab style

Thought this was great value. Big and fruit forward. Not a big on of complexity but really easy drinking.

As is normally the case, this Kirkland branded wine is a good value.

Interesting we also had a bottle of Chapallet from Russian River Valley. At opening of both bottles no difference in taste. However after opening the chapellet held up it’s bold cherry and Kirkland turned into lots of vanilla aftertaste. Still enjoyed this Kirkland wine. Especially good for an everyday wine at $12 a bottle. Not available year round so I buy when available. Although I do prefer the Chapellet its more pricey so I buy Kirkland.
