Apricots, fruit a tad green. Bit oxidized. Rustic.

A terrific sparkler with depth, richness and complexity. Red berries and an unctuous mouth feel are dominating qualities.

This traditionally made sparkling wine from Hungary was especially suitable as a toast to friends leaving for Europe for the best several months. First stop Budapest.

Hungarian Brut? Heck ya!

Much more raspberry this time around but embracing for it and still that lovely resinous woodsy woodsmoke rises in a tangy saline pine note that calls me back to this again and again. An insider sparkling wine worth hunting down.

Vintage Furmint bubbles, hell yeah. Great accompaniment to oysters and fried chicken. Wanted the Huet sparkles, but this was better. What chicken shop has a whole page of grower champagne? This place has great food, is unpretentious, and has a killer wine list.

Had this with a tapas-style meal of eastern Mediterranean dishes and this wine was the beam on which they gracefully hung. Impressive-especially for the modest price.
