Some sharp acid and highly herbacious notes on initial palette. Hints of roses and rasberry on the nose. White pepper, ripe rasbery and red plum on the finish. Yum yum yum!

2009 Grenache from Kiona is still one monster of a wine (which is not as much a contradiction as one might think for a grenache). Big, heady, and by no means fading from glory - my last bottle of this is a mouth full of red plum and roses with a hint of black peer on the edges,.

Kiona just blew my mind again... Earth, pencil lead and a hint of strawberry on nose, dusky, leathery, cherry and vanilla with gentle tannins, exceptional!!
