Domberg Riesling

The best wine in the Schneider lineup in 2021. Unreal nose of minerals, cotton candy, wet earth and pungent crushed rocks. Apricot and peach. Red apple skins, gobstopper and some funk. Love the diversity of aroma here. Palate is juicy, pure and opulent and such killer acids. All minerals on the palate and a fun dip white stick texture and flavor. Concentrated and intense with great structure. Such a juicy wine and with a lingering finish.

Haven’t had in 2 years and wow it’s in the zone. Soaring nose of lemon peel, candied lemons, minerals, herbs and grapefruit. Stunning depth and purity to the aromas. Super juicy and candied lemon/lime palate and wonderful confectionery vibe as well. Superb purity and cleanliness. Awesome depth and great acids. Great inner mouth aromas and awesome mineral concentration. Super clean and structured. Drinking so well now but has a long life ahead of it. Lovely nectarine and juicy pink grapefruit on the finish. Wonderful and mouthwatering. Coming alive with air. So many confectionary aromas. Just stunning.

Intensely complex, funky and mineral as par for the course for Domberg. The geekiest of the KH Schneider wines. Unreal mineral perfume. Wide open. Dripping with liquid minerality. Startlingly pure aromas that are focused and vivid. Sea air, confectionary aromas. Just amazing. Palate is a monster! Tight, focused and lemony. Real grip and focus. Just so linear. Closed yet has unlimited potential. Such a funky nose. Funky but clean. Not like young SF. Almost tannic and really has intense mineral grip. Finish is a bit clipped right now but has persistence but needs to fill in. Nose is more floral and lemony now. Just stunning.

9.4 to 9.5 overnight. This is the best Domberg yet. It’s complex, chewy, compact and mineral. Finishes very dry and has so much of a rock quarry vibe. So fresh and such insane length. Terrific. Some mild citrus on the finish. Super deep and voluptuous. Very sappy and pure. Juicy and very very long.

Meyer lemon, rainer cherries, white cherries, beautiful evocative perfumed minerality, lime, rock quarry dust. Beautiful wine, palate is 90% mineral, 10% fruit. Hints of apricot. Hint of cherry, grippy, fruit pith, balanced, so pure, so clean. Nose is so complex with air. Insane. What a showing. Hint of secondary. Tangerine comes out on the palate. Best showing of Domberg 15.

After 8 hours of air gorgeous cracked pink peppercorns, lemon zest, superb minerality. Concentrated and dense with licking a rock type minerality.

Superb nose. Lemony infused minerals. Celeriac. Like Dr. Brown’s style. Jumps out at you. Deep white cherries. Amazing depth. Superbly confectionary. Wow. Such a nuanced, beautiful and delicate nose. Pithy apricot and peach emerge as well. Palate is so intense and mineral, crunchy almost. Palate is lean and mean with wonderful freshness, lift and acidity. It’s so complete and so deep. Incredible energy and balance. Finish of lemons and minerals and pithy fruits is so persistent. The attack on this is unreal. Just clamps down on the palate. Concentrated and structured this will last 10-15 years easy. Brilliant wine.

Ridiculous Riesling. Lemon-drenched peach slices, with nice slatey minerality in the nose. Round but dry and intensely mineral in the mouth. Really nice acids too. Crazy length, mouthwatering the whole time. A great wine

Unyielding and 100% closed on day 1. Day 2 it’s a whole different story. Citrus, slate, florals and mineral perfume. Layered, soupy and dense. Palate is rich, but elegant and with acids that wake up up on the backend but so well integrated. Structured and dense with citrus peeking in on the mineral licking a rock finish.

It wants time. Shows ripe, sweet, and simple until it's had three days of air, and then it emerges. Powerful, but balanced
