Keush
Origins Méthode Traditionelle Brut Sparkling Blend
It is remarkably sharp and fresh with a strong stewed-sour-patch-kids-on-toast in a good way note. It is unique, toothsome, and savory, but it has a swatch of candied lemon running through it, finishing bitter but with a streak of sweet citrus. What a steal this is.

Feb 17th, 2024Say hello to my first Armenian wine!
Very light golden in color.
Nice nose of citrus, earth, bread, spices, light vegetables, herbs and white pepper.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and medium sized bubbles.
Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, green apples, herbs, yeast, light spices, river rocks, earth and white pepper.
Nice length on the finish with tangy limes.
This is a delicious sparkling wine from Armenia. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Needs 20 minutes of airtime to open and show the complexity. As it opens up, more yeast notes show up.
Good by itself or with food. Neither bitter nor tart. Really nice. A good quality wine. Feels like a French Crémant.
Paired very nicely with a French Petit Brie cheese.
A blend of 60% Voskehat and 40% Khatouni. Made in the traditional method. Aged for 22 months on its lees.
12% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$26.

First time doing outdoor dining thing since Covid and found this curious Armenian sparkling on the menu: granny smith apple 🍏, lime curd, Asian pear, crushed stone, and bread dough. Zesty acidity with medium+ finish and medium body. Sunday brunch bubbly of excellent value!! Old vines of 60% Voskehat and 40% khatouini on limestone. 18 months on lees.

Dec 26th, 2019Native grapes, crown in limestone soils, 1800 m altitude vineyards. 18 months of the lees. Mineral but with honed edges and a pleasing mousse.

Jun 15th, 2018First Armenian wine I’ve had. Dead ringer for a quality entry level NV champagne. Showed some rounder stone fruit notes. But quite the quality for the price.
