Interesting Armenian Red Blend that includes Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Montepulciano, Petite Verdot, Malbec and the local Khnofoghni grape. Dark ruby/purple color. Savory nose of fresh dark cherry, blueberry, and green olives. Plush dark black fruit, dark chocolate and black pepper on the pallet. Lots of body and heft. Nice balance. Quite good. — 3 months ago
My first Armenian wine. Made with Haghtanak grape, a Soviet-era hybrid between Armenian varietals and Georgian Saperavi. From vineyards in the Ararat Valley, 35 km west of Yerevan. Fermented in steel tanks and aged 7 months in Caucasian oak barrels. Dark ruby/purple color. Dark fruit, vanilla and oak on the nose. Some herbal notes. Full-bodied, big, quite bold and round on the palate. Pomegranate flavors. Tannic. Good value — 10 months ago

Bright gold in color, green apple and stone fruit aroma. Light mineral taste and complex textual mouthfeel. A very unique find. — 5 months ago

Tobacco and pomegranate. A little dry. Very nice! — a year ago
Smells like champagne - buttered bread. Tastes pretty good too, but simple - still buttered bread. 90. — 3 months ago
2018 vintage. Definite savory edge to this one. A stewed tomato quality, stewed tart cherry, dried herbs, dried cranberry, dried blueberry, a light floral touch. Interesting. First Armenian wine experience. Definitely well-made, but for sure shows the more savory side of Eastern bloc/Ancient World wines. — 6 months ago
Loved this! Medium weight, easy drinking red with bright little acid-and-tannic notes, strawberry jam up front, sort of a plum cassis thing in back… delish!! — a year ago
