Alto Adige - Südtirol Müller-Thurgau

First wine for ‘ National Drink Wine Day’! Aged white. Has a golden, straw color. Like a shiny wedding ring. Smells of honey and lemons. Just a hint of rain soaked concrete. Flavors are unique. Citrus buried under a bit of mellow Gouda cheese. Or maybe havarti. Get slight lemon peel in it. Has plenty to offer even with 8 years of aging. Elegant and ‘fancy’ feeling. Very balanced. Zippy, but just slightly ‘buttery’ or creamy. This is great white wine.

Brilliant golden yellow. Nose: wet grass, wet gravel, lemon, grapefruit. Taste: med light bodied, slight citus zest and apricot, med/high acidity, everything's upfront, kinda hollow and quick to finish, slight green peppercorn

Very European label. Color of, well pee in the bowel. Maybe a bit brassy. Smells of wood and sweet grass. Maybe some wet rocks and hint of scotch. Flavors are clean and unexpected. Bit of butter to go with the candy lemon peel, gooseberry and ripe pears. There is a savory strange element that really gives it a specialness. A kinda broth-y, Unami. Smooth on the tongue, velvety even. This is a trippy white wine. Kinda reminiscent of some CA Chard, but way less boring.
