Was on sale for an "everyday wine" price so I tried it. Much more than a basic house wine. More structured with nice finish. Good fruit flavor but not too jammy.

Not bad for an AirBNB freebie. Doesn’t really taste like merlot, more gamay, but no excess oak or alcohol.

Kenwood Vineyards was established in 1970 in the former Pagani Brothers Winery, a historic cellar dating back to 1906. Aromas of sweet red fruit and spice. On the palate cherry with dried fruit flavors, cinnamon and cacao, dusty tannins on lingering finish ending with an oak character. Good but unexciting.
