Great story behind this wine: Kendall Jackson asked the restaurant industry how to get their wines on their wine lists. They heard "make a good wine" - and this the result. Very impressive. Mission accomplished. At $20, a huge value.

2013 vintage. Very nice, good nose, not too sweet, strong earth notes and balanced spice. Drank well with grilled beef. Maureen says, "very drinkable, not overpowering, goes well with the meat."

nose shows a little vinyl, leather, ripe blackcurrant and blackberry, wood, jammy red cherries, fertile earth and a little fur. candied strawberry....on the palate this was quite dry and pretty minimal on the fruit. big dark fruit and some cranberry-but lean fruit- no big ripeness/sweetness despite the nose. earth and wood outweigh the rest. tannins are faint/fairly subtle. interesting cab.
