It’s not fair. Paul brought an 07 a little while back. So it’s interesting to see how this could evolve. Regardless, this is rich, dark, inky, good minerality. Some oregano with lavender.

Color of different shades of purple with mix of ruby tone. Nose is nice with elegant aldehyde, plum, a bit chocolate, sweet dried strawberry, oily paint, and the nose keeps coming. Nose is far different from conventional Pinot Noir, but more like high end Barolo. Taste follows the nose with addition of coke cola flavors, a bit minty and zesty, a bit vanilla sweetness, low tannins and hint of ripe berries. Silky and flavorful. Aftertaste is long and shows some more ripe grapes. A gem.
