11 years of rest and this has emerged as a real gem. A nose you can smell from feet away of deep black, fruits, cocoa, and earth. The same flavors show in the wine, the fruit is starting to dry a little but there is still good acidity and mild tannins. Finishes with a blast of Rutherford dust.

Another 4th Friday for the books! Insane pulls this month to follow up the most epic month (April) that we’ve ever had!

We edited the bottle to reflect the person who opened it 😂
@Benjamin Keator was kind enough to open this, so we edited the bottle to reflect his name, ha! Very sweet, dark and fairly light for a BGIII Cab. More feminine than Mike Smith’s version, and definitely lighter in style than Montagu’s. Sweet cherry vanilla tobacco, touch of smoke and baking spices.

This was still just so young. Starting to soften but not into development yet. Plenty of rutherford dust and very drying tannins but I wish I could have decanted this for several hours.

Let this one decant. A little aging will probably do it some good.

Just a young pup really. 5 hr decant allowed it to really open up to a brooding black/dark red fruited wine accompanied by a firm tannic grip and nice acidity prove this to be a well made wine and a fine steward of this great vineyard. Long life ahead and glad to have more.
