This is Kay Brothers base Grenache - Griffons Key being their premium Grenache. Mid Ruby. Aromatic raspberry and other red fruit notes, some jujube. Soft tannins and soft acid. I think this is best to drink now. Soft, flavoursome and easy to drink. McLaren Vale I think, is the best district for Grenache in Australia.

Aromas of Rose petal and raspberry. On the palate very primary with floods of fresh raspberry fruit. Very mild smooth tannins and acid. No detectable oak influence. Obviously designed to drink now. 3-5 years max. Tasted 42 weeks later with consistent notes.

The fruit has the mouth entry of an aged wine. As it begins to set on the palate, the fruits reveal their true age. They are soft, gentle and slightly sour. Plum, rhubarb, figs, cherries, blackberries and the ripe raspberries come on during the long finish. M+ tannins, red dry roses and violets and nice acid on the finish.
