So different and so good. 12 yo South Australian Riesling. Golden yellow but no old Riesling honey...more like kerosene and pear. It just doesn't finish. Thanks to Wine House Melbourne for the great recommendation ("something like Grosset Polish Hill but that I can't find outside Oz.")

2005 vintage. Kanta by Egon Muller. Pale golden hue. Lime dominant, chalky minerality, subtle rubber TDN notes, honey and biscuity. On the palate, lovely texture, medium plus acidity, hit of concentration of fruit and limes, medium minus body and medium alcohol. Good clean finish with a slight bitter green nut note. Very good Aussie Riesling that still has plenty of years ahead of it, as evident from the fruit. Drink Now until 2026.
