Opulent and velvety. Earthy aroma; you can literally smell the vineyard and soil in the glass. Big Cab notes and fruit up front transition ever so smoothly into to a lingering, bright and sea salt minerality on the finish. Ardently tannic with a brisk alcohol content.

Ready to kick ass and take names. This wine is brilliant. Nose of blackberry, chocolate, iodine, flint. Full bodied palate of youthful and thick black fruit, espresso bean, almond, hint of licorice, hint of mint. Finishes with a slightly tame acidity, black pepper and still fairly youthful tannin. This wine doesn't seem like it has aged much at all. For a 2012, does not taste anywhere close to 6 years post vintage. Moon mountain fruit is hard to beat when done well. This wine is a 'must have' in your cellar. Went really well with turkey dumpling soup!
