For some reason 2003 is more expensive. The quality is there. Sweet rhubarb. very balance and of Penfolds RWT level

The youth on this wine was incredible. I simply cannot imagine drinking this one too much earlier than what we did. The nose was so complex....floral, ripe black fruit, hint of nitrogen. Entry was dark, full bodied ripe black fruit and fig. The middle turned darker. Finished with dominance. Lots of black pepper. Tannins were soft and had resolved for the most part. This one was ready to kick ass and take names.

Has a bit of each part of the taste palette minus bitter. Very "big" tasting wine, fruit forward, notes of cocoa and a perfectly aged oakey-ness. Easily one of the best Shiraz I have had.
