Cuvée DD Sonoma County Pinot Noir

A little too much VA for me. Still enjoyable.

Quite developed and showing a lot of age this is probably not for everybody. A love/hate wine?

I personally dig anything aged from US and can see beyond tiny flaws so I'm a fan.

So much acidity and minerality and so alive for the age. Would've called burgundy for sure

Even if I find a lot of Brett and quite notable VA this is a charming wine. I have had 1996 before which was better.

Amazingly fresh and vibrant. Decanted and finished the bottle over dinner. It was still picking up steam after the last sip two hours later. Lovely wine.

Not as good as the 96 Billon but wow. Pinot!#kalincellars #pinotnoir

99. Also known as current release

This is the 1999 vintage. Without a 1/2 hour decant, the wine shows strong spiciness. Coming back to it, the spice tames nicely. With the softened spice, really nice mid red fruit with ripe black raspberries The 1999 is completely resolved, integrated and smooth. Nice balance of fruit, spice and acidity.

Pleasant amount of VA at prospect in SF
