Oh Rhone, how I love thee... medium bodied, somewhat restrained (but maybe just needs a few more years), white pepper, red plum and briny flesh. This is a wine that demands careful attention. Yum!

Big, northern-Rhone-ish but in an awkward phase, suggest another year of bottle age (or more). No rating yet cuz so promising.

Another outstanding vintage of this great wine. A bit less spicy than previous vintages. Dark Cherry and dried herbs on the nose. Black fruit, tobacco and a hint of chocolate on the pallet. Smooth tannins and just a tad “funky.” Long finish. Completely different than the 2013 Vintage but quite delicious. Revisited in December 2020. The “funky aspect” is not as prevalent. Smooth and outstanding.

Yep, love Washington Syrah due to this man...never had a bad bottle from K Vintners. Big bold fruit and some big bold backbone! 2014 a great vintage!

Apr 28th, 2018Never a bad wine from Charles but will say only gave it an hour in decanter as young as it is needs at least 3+ hours, the flavors past the Jammy notes kept developing with each swirl.

$25.00 shoot out tonight, yes two different regions & varieties.
This is 100 percent Syrah, Parker 95, actually Jeb when he still worked there, not quite pop & pour, needs some time, full cluster Syrah.
