My first Beaujolais. Crazy truffle nose and peppery, herbal, clove finish. It also stays with you a while. I don’t know if I’m supposed to like it or hate it, but I know I’ve never had anything like it before. And I like that.

Really expands after about 2 hours and the CO2 blows off. Cherry, cranberry, strawberry, tomato juice, some white pepper and a juiciness derived from the carbonic I think, but no blowsy bubblegum and cinnamon. Really energetic. Cantaloupe shell. Just bounces everywhere.

I felt the wine was still tight even after a few hours of aeration. Still precise and supported by an enjoyable natural acidity. I'd cellar it for a few years.
