Julien Sunier
Morgon Gamay
Stunning translucent violet color...pic here is not doing the visual justice. Nose is gorgeous—ripe strawberry and game aromas with some creme de cassis, rose petals and pink peppercorns. Palate is a bit of a letdown though still very good; the yeasty finish doesn’t let the full complexity shine through. For me, solid but not a rebuy; natural wine loons will love it

Oct 18th, 2020I adore Sunier’s Regnie but the brett in this bottling exceeds my tolerance threshold (which is fairly generous). Damp earth and stable drowns out the subtle pretty fruit and florals that I know are in there.

Mar 18th, 2023This was a refreshing, lovely Morgon while grilling on a summer evening. Not my favorite from his lineup but a great wine nonetheless. Darker cherries and red fruits. A touch of game brought in a welcome savory component. Great acidity keeping it fresh and keeping me coming back for more.
