Love where this is headed. Its shed some baby fat, tertiary characters starting to push forward, but it’s still a silken and juicy Cornas thats hard to put down. The smokey meat and olive balancing nicely with the soaked fruit.

Mar 14th, 2023Gorgeous! Deeply hued, concentrated, ripe blackberry, crushed violet, baked stones, earth and underlying meaty tones. Plenty of sweet fruit and plush tannin here, mouth filling yet suave, considerable silkiness given its Cornas. Well done.

This is the first Cornas I have ever truly enjoyed. Still has the iron and leather and herbs, but for once there is fruit - beautiful, deep, dense red fruit, with dark plum skin accents - to balance the structure. And actually the structure is nicely balanced. This is what I used to think of as a contradiction in terms: an elegant Cornas.
