So good. Very impressive. Very mineral nose. Also some peach, honeysuckle and apricot. Palate is so juicy and clean with lovely fleshy pithy Stone fruits and awash in mineral. Clean, pure, fresh and so balanced. Great wine. I love 2016.

Sep 19th, 2018Loving 2016 Rheinhessen and this is first one I’ve had from my recent Fall ship. Haven’t really had any since August. Mineral and tropical nose. Floral as well. Very pretty. Juicy and explosive with lovely refinement and serious minerality and a faint fruit sweetness despite being Trocken. So elegant and classy. Sappy and with a medium structure. This will be even better in 2-3 years.

Unscrew and pour. Seemed about time to open one. On the nose: loads of sweet peach, leaves, herbs, guava, wow, amazing intensity. On the palate: electric acidity, nettle, peach, guava, loads of wet stone. Maybe the finish is a touch clipped, but this is stunning otherwise.
