Hopefully a little cellaring will bring out the potential in this wine. An hour out of the bottle does help to smooth off the rough edges but this is a classic CalCab so it tastes a bit formulaic in structure and blending. The initial taste is somewhat vegetal not unlike bell pepper and a very small bit of eucalyptus. Breathing helped as did accompanying food
