July 4th Friday was a total blowout! Killer bottles one after another. Here are just a few of the bottles we all enjoyed!

I don’t think I’ve ever had a SauvBlanc with as much grapefruit as there was here. Wow. It dominated every part of the wine, with added pink sea salt, lemon rind and sharp acidity. More than anything, this just seemed really young. Hold for another 2-3yrs.

Deep golden hue with tinges of brown. Aromas of baked pear, honey, and almond. Medium bodied with good acidity finishing with some phenolic bitterness. Michael Scorsone crafted this terrific wine from 100% Sauvignon Blanc fermented on the skins. Would drink now as it’s quite oxidized at this point. 13.5% ABV. $35.

Bright pale yellow. Love the nose, layers of tropical, citrus and stone fruits. Tangerine, kiwi, lychee, peaches, apricots, wet grass and white floral notes. Moderate and tangy acidity (7/10). Fresh and crisp with a light body. Notes of green apples, citrus zest and lime. Long finish. Drink till 2023. (92+)
