Delicious. 2011 bad year ,? Not from this jury of my peers. ! Red bell pepper, black cherry, and dried herbs with a touch of jalapeno. Tannins linger with a nice dark deep red color. Nose of dark fruits. Here's to you Palmer@Palmer Emmitt

Here come da Judge. Spiced orange peel and molasses. One more bottle to go. Going to try and hold out another year as this keeps getting better and better. Eye watering nose.

Wifey is in raptures about this tonight. Very exotic wood treatment. Shitty vintage, but boy, Palmer and Co pulled off some acrobatics here.

This was one of the bottles that I got in a swap with @Martin G Rivard and he's been lights out with everything else! "2011 was a bad vintage in Napa blah blah blah". Rule #76...no excuses, play like a champion. I'm happy to state that this most definitely drinks like a champion. It's funny, I think I'm drawn to the 2011 vintage because of the bad rap it gets...are you kidding me? With the talent that is out in Napa, I'm proud to try their 2011 stuff...shows you what they are made of. Was unsure how long to let this breathe but after about 30mins...PARTY. The nose on this is just so unique/delicious. I get the red fruits like cherries, but there is also a sweet tobacco note to it. Sits on the palate perfectly with great texture. Peppery and slightly spicy on the finish. Mix of cassis, oak, and dark berry medley. @Palmer Emmitt , well done! Thanks again, Martin!

Man this is wine - Napa cab wine - Santa Rivard strikes again - I had the 13 and it was off the hook - this is almost the same - hard to believe but this wine has been awesome for 11 and 13 and trying the 12s a little later and heard it is also awesome - crazy I know - this is again Big Bold and Beautiful - lovely - all four are really singing to me - color smell taste and finish - buy this wine and buy all you can - I could care less what critics might say - SMILE Folks and starting my annual Christmas nightly blog saying of the day - "when you smile, the world will smile back" - we are all blessed on Delectable one way or another - 😃❤️️🍷

11' Judge Palmer Beckstoffer Georges III. Santa Rivard, you can shimmy down my chimney anytime with this little jewel. In all seriousness, thank you very much! Have to agree with @Ron R maraschino cherries on the nose. The palate- Getting rich dark berries, vanilla/oak. A peppery herb mix throughout the palate. Sweet tobacco & cassis on the back of the palate. What a savory & nice finish. @Martin G Rivard 👏

Christmas arrived early for us today. Santa @Martin G Rivard is up to his Good Samaritan strokes again.
Yet another cab from the much maligned 11 vintage.
It has a rich, opulent nose of kirsch, maraschino cherries and sandalwood. The palette is dense and utterly consistent with the nose, but also offers a hint of vanillin. Beautiful, dense, mid-palete, which finishes sweet. Echos of Beau Vigne here. A truly exceptional showing, with or without consideration for the vintage. Martin, thanks!

And so it begins. The holiday of @Martin G Rivard. This is a serious Cab. Big smokey nose with black cherry, spice box, and I don't know what. Fruit and oak rule the palate through the long finish. Tannins way in check. Yes please!

Deep garnet color. Complex nose of cassis, earth, vanilla and prominent vegetal bell pepper note in this cool vintage. Medium plus body with sweet black fruit, dark chocolate, and hints of spice on the palate with long finish. This is a very nice wine despite the challenging vintage.
