Nicely balanced. Nose has smoky rock dust, crunchy cherry, and a hint of cinnamon. Round and fruity on entry, it’s got good concentration, a soft texture, and a fairly long finish with some soft tannins making an appearance in the back half of the palate to accompany the dry cherry syrup flavors.

A little chill on this bottle brings to life the fresh character of this style. I imagine it goes well with pasta and pizza dishes like nobody's business. This six year old is still fresh and bright. It's dry with clean aromas of sweet licorice leaves red and black cherry with more wet stone minerality and soft textured tannins on the finish. I'd drink this every day if allowed. Great value at $25 CDN.
