Over 45 years old! Still lively. Searing natural acidity is keeping it alive. Claret-like, pretty

A little over the hill but still pretty, cork was soaked, with heavy sediment in the bottle, not much fruit left but plenty of spice

Wow! Such a treat. Surprising amount of fruit, some leather dominating, but still deep fruit tones underneath chugging along. Suave and firm tannins still, good acid. Drink now to 10+years

Lot 2. Sweet black berry fruit still showing. Luscious with delicate spice and savory cedar undertones. Color is surprisingly youthful

Blend of '69 and '71 vintage Zinfandel. Great freshness to the fruit which was still sporting blackberry notes. Faded after an hour open. WOTN though as well as surprise of the night.

Cool wine, started out with some sherry notes, went to maple. Fun one to drink.
